The comedic timing, coupled with his ability to maintain the authenticity of the characters, is worthy of praise. The Avengers delivers a popcorn feast that's the perfect summer kickoff. Go to Full Review

Downey's Stark/Iron Man steals the show because the actor is capable of making the tritest dialogue sound wonderfully witty, but the CGI effects are amazing and, despite its length, the film is very enjoyable. Go to Full Review

This will be loved by genre fans, when all is said and done/ But at two hours forty, you may find it numbs your bum/ Seriously, more attention to character could have made it a lot more fun/ And now I have said all that, I believe my poem is done. Go to Full Review

Seems like a miracle that something like this could be pulled off, fully amplifying and improving upon everything each solo MCU movie accomplished before it, while also standing on its own with the team dynamics. Go to Full Review

You wouldn’t accuse 'The Avengers' of being good drama, but the sprawling, splashy spectacle and its much-much-much-larger-than-life heroes makes for a genuine comic book epic for the big screen. Go to Full Review

Gamerm0m May 5 I enjoyed this movie very much. I think that the character building in this was terrific. I have watched all of the MCU films but this one is one of the few I will watch again multiple time. See more Manuel Apr 28 Quite possibly the best superhero movie of all time! See more Hughes S 04/28/2022 just amazing this movie is! See more Benjamin W. @Code70 1h The Avengers is kind of like that one time when you only have to worry about crowd-pleasing. What I mean is, this films is riddled with superhero cliches, and isn’t particularly deep or complex with its going for. But because this is the first Avengers, the first team-up with these set of characters, it’s just able to be a good old fashioned crowd-pleasing blockbuster. See more Bret M. @BretM-3 8h This movie is the epic conclusion to Phase 1 of the MCU, and it is awesome! Watching all the characters we’ve seen slowly introduced finally meet is magical. The cast is great in this movie and play their characters great. I also love the introduction of Mark Ruffalo’s Bruce Banner. I think he is a much better fit for the character than Ed Norton and I’m glad we got Mark long term. I also love Coulson’s role in this movie. Having his death set the formation of The Avengers in motion is great in my opinion. And c’mon, they couldn’t have picked a better villain for the first Avengers film! Loki is great in here! I also love that they plant the seeds of suspicion for S.H.E.I.L.D being corrupt, which will come into play later in the MCU. So overall, this is a really good movie on its own and an even better conclusion to Phase 1. See more Justin W. @Justin217 2d The Avengers are taking the strongest characters, and uniting them for the greater good. It was a thrill to see Earth's mightiest Heroes take the screen!!
