Movie Info

In this romantic comedy-drama, a couple learns that the relationship between the mind and the body can take many different forms. Rose Morgan (Barbra Streisand) is a plain and pudgy middle-aged college English professor who shares a house with her mother, Hannah (Lauren Bacall). A terrific, thought provoking, at times heart wrenching twist on the typical rom-com proving again Streisands singular gifts.

Downer story does match its book source, for the most part. Great cast.

I didn't wanna like it. But by movie's end, I didn't hate it. Points for that.

Audience Reviews for The Mirror Has Two Faces

Oh my God, the worst cinema experience in my life. Was dragged, with a mate, by my ex to see this and it was long and so very, very painful.

Does a marriage of convenience work? A marriage with no sex? I preferred Jeff Bridges' acting over Barbra Streisand's.

I don't think a single moment of this movie made any sense. Its also poorly edited and just about everyone (including even Jeff Bridges) is unconvincing in their perspective roles.

A solid romantic comedy that gets a lttle eh in the middle but is pretty charming and actually has a really strong cast as well as a clever script.
