B P @Bradster69 5d Not Bad, but Not My Favorite See more Alex B @AlexBioni 5d How's This for a Wet Dream? I don't understand the hate for this movie. I think it's awesome. I like how serious it is compared to the one liner Freddy from the original. The violence and gore are here too. Even a simple knife to the neck sounds brutal. The atmosphere is great, and Freddy playing with his knives gives me chills. I really like the cast. Jackie Earle Haley brings something new to Freddy and has a great voice for him. Kyle Gallner is always great. I liked that they show Freddy's past instead of just telling us. I also like seeing how far the kids go to stay awake. The pharmacy scene switching between Nancy's real and dream worlds is great. This Freddy feels much more disturbing than the jokester from the original. Some dialogue isn't great, and some CGI hasn't aged well. The story is predictable because we've seen it before. The final scenes were cool, but the ending is abrupt, leaves questions unanswered, and makes the final confrontation feel pointless. Despite the more gloomy visual and a more serious plot, the tempos are different and there is no further impact, however disso, or fact of no more or more intrepid terms. Englund also contributes to reduce or interest in the work. Well, it's not exactly ruim (tempers), but it also doesn't have to be a big thing. Okay, curiosity, like everything.
