See more timothy P @RT69223325 2d This movie follows the most basic of plot charts to a tee. Introduces the characters, a struggle or conflict and it is not a realistic or believable one. If you had come upon a crime scene, found $2m cash and a lot of dead bodies what would ever make you want to return just to give one of the victims water??? Then, you send your wife to live with her mother, someone easily traceable, to then decide a plane ticket would be better only after doing all the previous, and being tracked down each time? No I know Vietnam vets, and none of them were this main character level stupid. Loads of the "tracking" went unexplained, he already ditched the tracker but then for some reason a second hitman somehow just finds you with no leads. All actors play their roles well but the story is just lazy writing. Dots connect pretty well for the 45min of runtime then dissolves into complete dissonance. Beautiful shots for sure, but not quite pretty enough to be entertaining. I understand the idea behind, "the protagonist doesn't always win," (boiled down for simplicity's sake) but I feel that a message like that only goes so far when it comes to something like this. There were many things that were brought up, mentioned, or shown that were just swept under the rug; the movie would mention something, enough to catch your mind on it, just to forget it, to never go back to it again. I could understand where someone else may like it, but I personally can't imagine watching it again unless requested to by someone dear to me. I wasn't expecting Moss to make it away scott-free, a hitman to just throw in the towel at nothing, but this all just felt so jumbled and such a sort of fruitlessness that I would expect it to be an indie film.
