... a familiar lesson in the futility of war, but [director Frank] Sinatra has an easy way with the actors and lets them carry the scenes.
Not too bad World War II drama. Frank Sinatra's performance is lacking sincerity, but the rest of the cast does a good job. Good story, but a little predictable. Well produced, good cinematography.
December 4, 2009The budget was definately economy. Sinatra was the producer, director and had a starring role in the film as well. He wasnt John Ford as a director but the performances of the film keep the low budget quality in check.
