First off, I love dinosaurs. This movie consists of spaceships, women and dinosaurs in the tradition of Harryhausen. so how did this gem get past my pre-teen years? Featuring actors sporting bushy hair and mustaches, colored jumpsuits doubling as futuristic space-wear, overall clumsy acting, a cheesy synth score and
a spaceship interior which looks like it was built in some neighbor's garage, PLANET OF DINOSAURS can't hide its bargain basement production values.So for that select group of us out there, this is a bargain, as the effects really are quite good and the dinosaurs have plenty of screen time to make you happy, while the script, acting and poor character development add to the charm. This is a winner for fans of bad post-apocalyptic, post Planet Of The Apes low budget sci-fi.
