An impressively bespoke pitch deck for 20 years of Christopher Nolan's filmmaking philosophies but still just a pitch deck all the same — with a voila reveal no less embarrassing than that of a Gob Bluth illusion.

Like all Nolan films, it is technically strong and spares no expense to attract an audience with big names. Unfortunately, it also follows the pattern of being a soulless film that is overly complicated and technical. I keep assuming that Nolan’s works will mature but they continue the same pattern of relying on technology and big names over any emotion.

It's great! First time you watch it, you know it's great but hard to understand. But the second time you watch it, it snaps and you discover it is perfectly woven and crafted. You see dark twists and turns, descents of what you at first thought decent men, and dazzling magic tricks and illusions.

Complex and full of twist, is how to describe this movie. First, i love the theme; industrial revolution, golden age of magician, and nicola tesla, they are a perfect combination. Secondly, the story kept me tense through out the first half, like really tense, lots of turns and shocking moments, then followed woth heartbreaking moments on the second half. At the end, twist after twist never failed to impress me. This movie is literally a magic show
