Russ G Nov 9 Saw it as a kid on TV; it had to have been made for TV or had a very brief theatrical run and stunk the joint out. We laughed at how bad it was then and it hasn't gotten any better in six decades. Strictly a historical curiosity. See more James B Jun 17 This is a must see Sci-Fi film. Lets me revel while watching MCU, DC and Star Wars movies, first with my children and now my grandkids. It's a glorious honor to have witnessed and still be witnessing cinematic progress. Robinson Crusoe on Mars is an intriguing (at least initially) story of survival, filmed in brilliant Technicolor and filled with beautiful landscapes. However, interest may wane over the latter portion of the movie as the cheap special effects, irritating music score and the improbable introduction of another character (a space slave, no less) bog things down significantly. It's certainly a step above the average science fiction fare of the same period, but that's not saying much, is it? At the very least, you can catch Adam West in a small role early in the film before he hit it big with Batman a couple of years later.
