The casting is dream-perfect. I can’t say enough about Maguire's nuanced performance as Parker, while Willem Dafoe expertly juggles the Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde complex of good-natured industrialist Norman Osborn and his villainous alter ego, the Green Goblin.

A childhood classic of mine that still holds up quite nicely. This and spider man 2 are still up there for me comic book movie wise. Tobey really embodies awkward peter with confident snarky spider man so well and it just works. This movie has a lot of fun moments and some genuine emotion and heroism. I still love it after all these years.
