See more Melissa M @Lisey May 29 This is one of the cases where the sequel is good if not better than the original. Once again the crew of the Enterprise is faced with admittable challenges. The original cast is back again. Chris Pine returns as Captain Kirk. His portrayal of Captain James Kirk went from Watchable to Worth Watching. There is plenty of action, drama, & intensity in this film. There are 2 subplots to the movie. The 2 subplots intertwined with each other to make 1 awesome movie. There are new enemies the Klingons & a rogue agent named John Harrison. The movies try to stick close to the original Star Trek series. But there are some major changes like apparently there's something going on between lieutenant Uhura & Dr Spock. Sulu has an alternative lifestyle. Which is okay it's very progressive. This is Star Trek for a modern-day era. The film tries to stay true to the classic TV series. This time however the movie gets B+ & A+ for Beyond Awesome. See more MC R @RT91491190 May 22 Time for the sequel! I think this one is the best of the trilogy. They recreated Star Trek: Wrath of Kan and brought Shere Khan back as villain. Benedict Cumberbatch taking this role was really cool! Don't get me wrong Wrath of Khan is better. But still Into Darkness was great! It was great Leonard Nimoy even appeared in the sequel. It was his last movie, rip Spock 😭 Star Trek: Into Darkness is a cool and great sequel from reboot of Star Trek! I didn't mention it in my review of the first movie but the score of Michael Giacchino was incredible, same for Into Darkness. It's tacky, it's glitzy, it's horribly written, it's utterly disrespectful to its source material and its "plot" is so ridden with continuity and plot hole errors that it is all but non-sensical.
