Mute Russian Karma Balint (Shera Bechard) poses as a stripper to infiltrate the Canadian criminal underworld and avenge her sister's death in this lurid crime thriller from director Andrew Thomas Hunt. When Karma's sister Anna departed for Canada, it looked the beginning of a bright future. But later, when Anna is executed and dumped in the forest, Karma begins to suspect that the mafia may have been involved. Now, as Karma moves up through the underworld ranks, eliminating anyone and everyone who stands in her way, the Russian mafia meets an enemy whose intense ferocity is only exceeded by her smoldering sex appeal. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi … More

While in some ways "Sweet Karma" it's a typical revenge film, the story unfolds in a way that keeps you engaged as a viewer. The pacing of it is spot on, delivering the obligatory kick-ass scene and a intriguing storyline.
"Sweet Karma" was a SWEET surprise!
Low budget Canadian revenge movie with human trafficking and strip clubs as the backdrop. I got the feeling the main character is mute only because the Playboy centerfold playing the part isn't much in the acting department, but I don't know that for sure. Nothing really stands out here; even the twist was not a surprise. Passing only for the effort.
This movie isn't easy to watch, and it's far from being cinematic genius. But it's got a pretty solid storyline, and despite the fact that none of the characters are at all endearing, I was pretty interested throughout. Probably not something that will stand out in my mind for long, but it was worth watching.
