Whether you view it as a primordial image from the collective unconscious or a practical warning against promiscuity, vagina dentata makes an indubitably memorable impression -- and an ideal premise for a tongue-in-cheek teen horror movie.

The first half of the movie I found myself annoyed, but the latter half really turned it around for me. An exaggerated, but still very true, representation of how female genitalia is treated much differently than male in public education and general. Dawn's reclamation of power and utilization thereof really pulled the movie together for me. Purity.

At first glance, this film might seem simple—even a little ridiculous in terms of its premise—but don’t let that fool you. Beneath its wild premise is a bold exploration of sexuality, religion, acceptance, and consent. What starts out as something light or absurd slowly reveals a number of meaningful messages, leaving you with more to ponder than expected. Definitely worth watching.

Genuinely iconic. The plot, while dry still contributes immensely to the story. Teeth is a genuine masterpiece there is nothing like it. It tells a message so discreetly, yet at the same time so potently.

Teeth works, cause it has a likable protagonist with Dawn combined with a wonderful strange premise. The balance between comedy and horror is not too good and it has some uncomfortable bloody scenes...but this actually adds to the whole thing. Its not perfect, our hero is not perfect, its strange and confusing and bloody with a happy ending...maybe made by a female director, it would have looked different and might be interesting, maybe Dawns empowerment would be more authentic, but that's a big maybe, here its "Dawn against the (male) World", which is pretty cool!
