When John Connor (Jason Clarke), leader of the human resistance against Skynet, sends Kyle Reese (Jai Courtney) back to 1984 to protect his mother, Sarah (Emilia Clarke), from a Terminator assassin, an unexpected turn of events creates an altered timeline. As flashy as it is with tremendous and eye-popping special effects, it has created an extremely convoluted mess of merged timelines and revisionist storytelling that treads all over what made the 1984 original and superior 1991 sequel so great.

This movie is stupid. Why is Emila Clarke sarha connor becuase she was nowhere near how good Linda Hamilton was as Sarah Corner.Why is Sarah Corner calling a tereminater pops.And why did they make John Corner the villan this movie just makes no sense.What have they turned this great movie franchise into. Should have just finished the franchise after the first 2 and used there alternative ending for the second movie

Um verdadeiro curto-circuito na franquia. O Exterminador Génesis tenta reescrever a linha temporal dos clássicos de James Cameron, mas entrega apenas um emaranhado confuso de furos de guião, CGI exagerado e piadas sem graça. Arnold Schwarzenegger esforça-se, mas o filme é um caça níquel genérico e sem alma.

11 years later I finally watched this, no hype, no spoilers (that I can remember) and it wasn't that bad. The first act was great, and it was a solid fun movie. Better than T3, more fun than Dark Fate and way more enjoyable than Salvation. I know they gave away a BIG MASSIVE spoiler in the trailers but being so far removed from that, the movie still had plenty of surprises. Time travel is messy. Don't get wrapped up in the nit-picking

Terminator: genisys, while obviously spelling it completely wrong is a surprisingly great take on the series and around as close to the mark of the first 2 as we’re ever gonna get, unless Cameron once again rewrites the entire universe just for some cash with a new one, but sadly i can see a few more happening.
