Jun 17, 2013 at least the director had fun. See more Feb 16, 2012 This multi-lingual horror is based on an intriguing Thai custom of lying in a coffin to rid oneself of bad luck. Cancer-stricken Sue (Karen Mok) makes a miraculous recovery after doing so suffers hallucinations and her fiance is then killed in an accident... her investigation leads her to Chris (Ananda Everingham) who was also haunted after a coffin session. It's a neat premise for a film hampered by a disjointed narrative - the horror elements ramped up in the latter stages of the production, apparently - and whilst Ekachai is a solid director he does spoil things by doing a Pride And Glory; all blue, all the time.
