Far North. Autumn 1910. An encampment of Inuit nomads is threatened by famine. The situation is dire as day after day the hunters return empty-handed. Unknown to anyone, the tribe's shaman Croolik has embraced the dark arts and this is the true reason behind the disappearance of all the animals. The clan's wise woman Saya recalls the legend of Sarila, a promised land hidden among the glaciers, where wild game is said to be plentiful. Critic Reviews for The Legend of Sarila
The Legend of Sarila grafts a veneer of Inuit culture onto a very formulaic story that borrows heavily from mainstream American animation.
Audience Reviews for The Legend of Sarila
I would give it three stars, but I doubt I'm really going to have the urge to watch it again. It's okay, the animation isn't bad for a B CGI movie. At least they don't really burst into song in this one, there are parts where I'm not entirely sure it's supposed to be a family movie or if it's just an animated movie that resembles a family film. Some parts are a little dark, with all the attempted murder and what not. I really wanted to choke the crow though, that animal noise/talk makes you wanna hurt someone
