Ultimately, The Revenant suggests no deeper or more nuanced truths than a medieval morality play. Go to Full Review

Iñárritu continues move away from his earlier work, which I still prefer, to bring a more Hollywood-digestible tale like this one that blends themes of spirituality, primal instinct and humanity. Go to Full Review

The Revenant exposes the cruelest of humanity and its revenge, regardless of culture or origin. In terms of the anthropologist Claude Lévi-Strauss, we must ask ourselves in the film, who represents “civilization” and who represents “barbarism”? Go to Full Review

Max S. @fatburrito 1d Lit a fire during a snowstorm to watch this movie and felt fully immersed. Extremely in touch with Leo and his struggles throughout the movie. It’s more on the plot rather than direct entertainment so you need to be focused and ready to watch. See more Easton S. @Easy_E 6d Some of the best cinematography I have ever seen its beautifully disturbing in a good way. You cannot sit through this movie without being cold. If you haven't yet watch this! See more Tim R. @CinemaAddict96 Jan 13 The grit, the determination and the courage DiCaprio’s character displays in this film is top notch. A true example of what the toll of seeking revenge can take on someone. Ultimately the relentless pursuit of seeking revenge cost Hugh Glass more than just losing his ear. This film was a chilling combination of survival, gore, and the willingness to push forward when everything around you is a complete disaster. Not to mention the cinematography is absolutely stunning throughout the entire film. The camera angles in this movie really captured the beauty and essence that nature has to offer quite well. I really enjoyed this one! See more Jack F @MovieFan111 Jan 6 It's definitely a good one to see, especially if you're a fan of DiCaprio and Hardy. I enjoyed it. My only complaint is that I took almost ten years to watch it. This movie deserves atleast a 90, atleast. My score would be 97-99. Truly captivating See more Read all reviews
