The Third Day (1965)
In this melodrama, a man crashes his car beside a river and loses his memory. During the next three days, his memory begins to return, and few of the memories are pleasant. His wife is ready to leave him, and his cousin wants the family china manufacturing factory for himself. He then remembers that the passenger in his car, a cocktail waitress, died in the wreck. Later his cousin and the barmaid's husband try to say the man killed her on purpose. Their frame job works and he is arrested. The crooked husband then kidnaps the arrested fellow's wife and threatens to exact revenge for the death of his own wife. Fortunately, the imprisoned man's aunt helps him to escape, and the man then saves his wife. Soon afterward he learns that the waitress drowned herself.
