As the son of Odin (Anthony Hopkins), king of the Norse gods, Thor (Chris Hemsworth) will soon inherit the throne of Asgard from his aging father. However, on the day that he is to be crowned, Thor reacts with brutality when the gods' enemies, the Frost Giants, enter the palace in violation of their treaty. As punishment, Odin banishes Thor to Earth. While Loki (Tom Hiddleston), Thor's brother, plots mischief in Asgard, Thor, now stripped of his powers, faces his greatest threat.

Reviewed 5/17/2022 I'm seeing a trend here. With these last 3, they're often considered some of Marvel's weakest entries, but I'm really enjoying all of them. Thor is surprising amazing. It's got a few problems, like sind characters being a bit underdeveloped, especially Sif, the Warriors Three, and Laufey, but the characters that are interesting, Thor and Loki, are really good. Kudos to Tom Hiddleston, great job with Loki. There are a few bits of the movie where it drags a little, but for the most part, it's fairly consistent. I even enjoyed most of the "boring" New Mexico stuff. Better than I remembered.

Not a perfect movie, but there's a perfect Thor for certain. Thor islike he actually is supposed to be, unlike other... most recent Thor movies... There's character growth, deep understanding of the villain, and, ngl, the darker atmosphere hits very well for Thor. They also hit the nail on the shakespearean tone, it actually feels like I'm watching medieval sceneries. Of course there's better Marvel origins, but this one feels proper enough. I don't hate it and will admit I've grown attached to it :)
