Sam M @RT50629248 5h This was the first movie I watched with my father in theaters at 9 years old. This movie will forever hold a special place in my heart because of it. Despite what critical thinkers may think about tedious things like the plot; its a fun flick that you can turn your brain off and watch for the runtime with only the knowledge of the preceding film. ROTF is full of hype moments and aura. What it lacks in character depth it makes up for with memorable action sequences, awesome visuals that still hold up 17 years later, and an all-star voice cast giving life to massive machines. ROTF has made a massive impact not only on the franchise but some of its core characters like bringing Megatronus aka The Fallen to the forefront and making him a true threat that only a powered-up Optimus Prime can truly defeat once and for all. Not even 'The Last Knight' can stoop as low as this movie did. This movie started the decline and the continuity problems of the franchise. Sam and the rest of the characters were annoying, especially the Autobot twins. Sensual leanings and potty humour all around. The Fallen was poorly developed. Don't even get me started on the Alice subplot. At least the battles in the forest and Egypt were good. The CGI remains stellar as ever. The cgi looked amazing, I loved the military usage, the great theme song I liked kept getting used which I loved. Less humor, much more of an interesting second half, I was happy this time with how it ended, felt real and resonable, great acting with unexpected moments. Optimums prime felt much more THE Optimus prime this time. The two we d and green guys were pretty wierd but whatever. I’d rate it a 7.3/10. Although it looked amazing I wouldn’t consider it an amazing story or plot, it was average but with good fights and looks. I loved the usage of the Air Force.
