When Tigger doesn't appear to want to help the gang build a home for Eeyore, the donkey, Rabbit suggests he leave them behind and spend some time with other "tiggers." Convinced that he's the only Tigger in the world, he goes on a quest to find out if he is, in fact, an original, eventually learning a very valuable lesson in the process: there's no place like home. Featuring songs by the Sherman Brothers (MARY POPPINS, THE JUNGLE BOOK). Both the VHS and DVD releases include a special music video by Kenny Loggins. [More]

  • The Tigger Movie
  • In the classic tradition of Disney's animated feature films, the first Winnie The Pooh theatrical feature in 23 years weaves magical storytelling, charming characters, and memorable songs into an enchanting tale of adventure and heart. As it happens, the whole gang is busy preparing a suitably gloomy winter home for Eeyore. When everything they do seems to get undone by Tigger's exuberant bouncing, Rabbit suggests Tigger go outside and find other tiggers to bounce with -- a notion Tigger finds ridiculous because after all, he's "the onliest one!" Or is he? And so begins Tigger's amazing journey to find his family. This whimsical and touching film will bounce right into your heart -- and feet.

Perfect for the single-digit aged set, who will love it, and not terrible for adults since the film moves fast at a quick 75 minutes.

There is something badly wrong with the film's premise, which contradicts Milne's lessons that Tigger can't climb trees ... and that, crucially, Tigger can't be unbounced.

When it comes to Pooh stories, a shortage of ambition and reluctance to improve on success should be counted as assets.

Kids will find their attention wandering after the first 10 minutes and will be better off sticking with the classic, original tale.
