Savvy New York City receptionist Tess McGill (Melanie Griffith) gives her conniving boss, Katharine Parker (Sigourney Weaver), an excellent business tip, but Katharine simply steals the idea without giving due credit to her secretary. After Katharine winds up in the hospital with an injured leg, Tess decides to exact revenge. Pretending to be her boss, Tess initiates a major deal with an investment broker (Harrison Ford) -- but things turn ugly after Katharine finds out what Tess has been up to.

So Meg Ryan strips down to sexy underwear twice. There is a brief scene of porn on someone's tv. I knew this movie was gonna be a stretch for me anyways. The best thing going for it is 80s nostalgia.

This is Melanie Griffith's "Get out of jail free" card. Even if she never made another movie, she is perfect in this one. It is a great movie, a great 80s time capsule, and it shows that how much certain things can still remain the same decades later in the terms of job advancement and how people will treat each other.

Filme fraco, o roteiro é fraco, as cenas são fracas, a história é fraca, o elenco é fraco, e ninguém ajuda a melhorar o filme, os personagens são fracos, e o filme deveria ter cenas bem melhores e relevantes, para fazer o filme ser bom

This is a good movie and it was when it came out. Great cast, great acting. I'm not going to keep it as I thought it was just decent but sentimental in a kind of eye rolling way. I totally understand if anyone wants it in their collection but I'm just glad I saw it and that's it.

Simply a great movie about how confidence in yourself can overcome any obstacle if you have the right stuff to succeed. This is a feel good movie about empowerment and about the importance of having someone who believes in you to help you along your journey!
