We're clearly gearing up for an ambitious, complex series with interweaving timelines and it's interesting to see writer Chris Chibnall play with form before bowing out alongside Whittaker. Go to Full Review

An absolute mess that never manages to fully cohere into anything worthwhile, but at least its constant chaotic energy and the actor's earnest talent means you'll never be bored. Go to Full Review
James Croot The Post NZ 11/01/2021
There's enough intrigue posed by the premise and Whittaker's 13 boasts just enough chutzpah and deadpan delivery of throwaway one-liners to ensure it's worth sticking around. Go to Full Review

"The Halloween Apocalypse" ends on an impressive cliffhanger, and I'm intrigued by this season's premise and overall direction. Go to Full Review

Ryan M @RT12324329 1d People were never ready to admit that the serialised format adopted in Flux was where Doctor Who needed to go if it wanted to survive. Flux is so criminally underrated, the team delivered the best CGI and visuals Doctor Who has ever had, not even the Disney Era looked this good, lockdown forced the team to abandon the standard 'monster of the week' format and write a serialised story and every single time I revisit this series, it becomes more enjoyable. The Disney Era was a massive flop, watching Flux post Disney Era tells me everything I need to know about where Doctor Who must go moving forward, for the survival of the show the BBC needs to look at what Flux managed to achieve on a tiny budget, with all odds against it and get serious about the reality of modern day media consumption. If you didn't like Flux, do yourself a favour and give it a rewatch... I guarentee the second time around is better than the first, hindsight did wonders for this odds defying season. See more Ezi @MissEzi Jan 21 13 is such an incredible doctor, and flux is such a fun FAST paced high stakes drama. produced during covid, but some of the absolute best visuals we have ever gotten from this series. thank you chibnall! See more La D @LaDruid Nov 6 Its official, Doctor Who is dead. I give it maybe one more season till the money runs out... Has Chris's fanfiction just turned into writing a show about his secret fantasies? Where's the excitement, the drama the suspense? It should be called "Doctor Where"... cause where is the entertainment. The great thing about Doctor Who is that REAL fans has many early series to re-watch. In its current form this program is dead, they need to go back to their roots, a Sci-Fi program written by writers who think of the fans and not their own sick fantasies and political talking points. See more Fan O @RT73657206 04/20/2025 This season is the first season of 13's I enjoyed. Would I call it especially good or deep? No. But it was fun, and I missed that. I would recommend it to anyone, as long as you aren't expecting to particularly care about it much. A lot of it was pointless, but I liked it anyway. Yaz was much more of a character this season and in the specials, which is another reason I enjoyed it more, and Dan's humor was enough to endear me to him at least a bit. See more POS5 T @RT48374505 10/23/2024 Short and sweet: - Jumps arround from one side of the galaxy to another even other scene preventing you from knowing what's what. - Too much going on you can't develop a relationship with any story. - Lazy explanations to justify half baked ideas. - Somehow half the universe is in peril and I can't seam to care. Most likely because I've been bombarded with information and given no reason to care. - Made classicly proven, formidable enemies to look like push over wet noodles. Just feels pathetic. Things just happen, and becusse there's no time to develop that relation ship, things die and I'm just like, oh okay, meh. Don't waste your time. This guy has never wrote for Sci fi properly and it's shows too much. There's nothing smart, interesting or worthwhile going on. See more Jonathan T @RT90689304 06/15/2024 I gave it a try... Yep, it was as bad as I heard it would be. Can't recommend this 'show'. See more Read all reviews
