Friend Ratings for Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.: Season 2
If this is new direction for the series then this is a show that I can get behind and fully support.
The new show is more mature, and ready to hit the ground with its Enfield No. 4s blazing.
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is becoming unafraid to take us to dark places that I know are threatening to unveil themselves by nature of being a Mutant Enemy production. I see your strings behind the curtain, Joss.
We've got a long season to go, but this kick-off certainly looks to pick up on the momentum from the back half of the first season.
Well, I think S.H.I.E.L.D. struck a perfect balance in "Shadows"-it was a pretty strong start to this new chapter in the story, but it also never forgot how the show came to be where it is.
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s growth from season 1 to season 2 is more than apparent, and there are many times when you can see a mature vision attempting to shape this series into something more.
With a clearly defined villain and mission statement, this show's second season is already off to a better start than it's first year, but there's still plenty of room for the series to grow.
There's no fancy equipment or tech, and no unlimited budget or personnel. I'm really excited to see what they do with these limitations, and I thought this episode was a great start to the season!
What an intense, action-packed and emotional opening to the second season. Based on this first installment alone, I've got high hopes for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 2.
The show feels more gritty and lived-in and the actual team feels much more ready for a fight.
Overall this episode is pretty flat, and very disappointing as season premieres go. We only see character development from one of our main cast.
