Alain E @AlainE Sep 29, 2026 Not very well thought story. Has some attractive elements: the setting is New Orleans and we are offered parts of blues and jazz. A married female psychotherapist starts an affair with a musician. She doesn’t hesitate to have petting sessions in public but avoids intercourse. She also keeps all her underwear on, typical of American prudishness. Her own father also chronically cheats on her mother, so probably the condition is genetic. Her father has cardiac disease and one evening suffers a heart attack and right away he goes for open heart surgery from the emergency room! They could have asked an RN to learn that first you do a cardiac catheterization to know where the blockages are. Evening cardiac operations are extremely rare. You need a couple hours to assemble the team and open the OR. Better to operate during day. Also the cardiac surgeon is Black which is true of 2% of American surgeons. Her husband is not unattractive, so we never learn why she cheats.
