Adam "DJ AM" Goldstein
A talented performer and popular personality, Adam "DJ AM" Goldstein displayed world-class skills as a DJ. Rising through the ranks to become Hollywood's hottest DJ, Goldstein was briefly a member of the band Crazy Town, who hit No. 1 with "Butterfly," and was engaged for a year to Nicole Richie before being linked romantically to actress-singer Mandy Moore. Appearing on multiple reality shows and albums, Goldstein became a one-man branding empire, with shoes, clubs and cell phones bearing his name and logo. Along with buddy and TRVSDJAM bandmate Travis Barker, Goldstein survived a plane crash in 2008, but was found dead little more than a year later on Aug. 28, 2009 from an accidental overdose. His last project, the intervention reality show "Gone Too Far" (MTV, 2009) aired as a tribute to his honesty and courage in facing addiction. A sensitive soul who faced considerable lifelong struggles, Adam "DJ AM" Goldstein left behind a legacy of music and much love, evident in the glowing tributes and memorials from fans and friends who had been touched by his gifts, strength and spirit.
