Chauncey Leopardi is a former child actor whose career faded in early adulthood. He is perhaps best known for his role as Michael "Squints" Palledorous from the 1993 family comedy "The Sandlot," a sentimental tale of neighborhood kids bonded together through baseball. Leopardi would reprise his role as an adult, as simply Squints, in the 2007 direct-to-video "The Sandlot 3," and he attempted to capitalize on his connection to the character by later taking the name "_squintz" for his Twitter feed. Leopardi started his career on television at age nine, appearing as a young hobo in the TV movie "A Girl of the Limberlost," and he also appeared on two episodes of the legal drama "L.A. Law." After a foreshadowing lead in the 1993 film short "Oh God. Please Don't Let Me Strike Out," Leopardi joined the ensemble of "The Sandlot" as the bespectacled Squints, a role which exposed the actor to a wide audience, including casting agents. In 1995, he played one of Phil Hartman's three kids in the Sinbad con-man comedy, "Houseguest," and he also landed a supporting role in the blockbuster ghost comedy "Casper," starring Bill Pullman and Christina Ricci. In his late-teens, Leopardi made several recurring appearances as bully Alan White, tormentor of lead characters on the critically acclaimed but short-lived NBC comedy "Freaks and Geeks." In his early 20s, he had a five-episode stint on the WB's mother-daughter drama , "Gilmore Girls," before fading into Twitterdom, with the lone exception of his "Sandlot" reprisal.
