Jack Doolan began acting as a child, appearing in British crime drama "The Bill" at seven years-old. Doolan continued in small parts, including the popular soap opera "EastEnders" and the political drama "MI-5." However, Doolan also acted in numerous short films early in his career, such as the harrowing drama "Mercy" and the sex comedy "School of Life." These eventually won him a major part on the sitcom "The Green Green Grass" in 2005, acting with John Challis and Sue Holderness. In the show, which was a spin-off of the comedy "Only Fools and Horses," Doolan played Tyler, the son of a witness (Challis) who must go into hiding with his family. However, the entire family underestimates the difficulty of country living. Doolan acted in "The Green Green Grass" until the series ended in 2009. Next, he made his feature film debut in the 2010 comedy drama "Cemetery Junction," written and directed by Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant, creators of "The Office." In the movie, set in the 1970s in Reading, England, Doolan played Snork, an awkward young man who is friends with Bruce (Tom Hughes) and Freddie (Christian Cooke) at a time when all three are trying to sort out their lives. A role in the horror film "Demons Never Die" followed in 2011, and Doolan also explored the comedy-horror genre in the movies "Cockneys vs Zombies" and "May I Kill You."
