Natalie Brown may have started her career as a model, but her prolific work in film and television helped prove that she was more than just a pretty face. Born May 17, 1973 in Timmins, Ontario, Canada, Brown began her career at the age of 16, with a print campaign for Bonnie Bell. She gained some notoriety when she became known as the Heinz Ketchup Girl, and landed further campaigns for the likes of Noxema and Max Factor. Brown took a quick break from modeling to study fine arts at York University, where she became interested in acting. Her first gigs came in the form of a brief cameo in the film "Here Lies Another Day" (1997) and some voiceover work on the cartoon series "Mythic Warriors" (CBS, 1998-2000). Brown's career began to pick up steam with appearances in the smutty anthology series "Undressed" (MTV, 1999-2002), the Kate Hudson/Matthew McConaughey rom com "How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days" (2003), and Zach Snyder's intense remake of the zombie classic "Dawn of the Dead" (2004). Brown scored her first big lead role in the short lived but beloved sitcom "Sophie" (CBC, 2008-09), before finding another series regular gig more in her wheelhouse: Guillermo Del Toro's futuristic vampire series "The Strain" (FX, 2014-). Brown was next seen in "XX" (2017) a horror anthology featuring four short films written and directed entirely by women.
