That Girl Lay Lay

American musician and actor Alaya High, known professionally as That Girl Lay Lay, was born on January 28, 2007 in Houston, Texas. Her career in music started at a young age when her parents began posting videos of her rapping on YouTube. At first, High performed covers of other artists but when she began writing and performing her own songs, she earned a record deal at only 11 years old. Her debut album, "Tha Cheat Code" (2018) launched her to fame resulting in a performance in the 93rd Annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and opening up her career to acting. She began with a small role in "The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part" (2019) but soon had her own television show, "That Girl Lay Lay" (Nickelodeon, 2021- ).
