Tim Berry's first television job was as a CBS page on "The Mary Tyler Moore Show," generally considered one of the best sitcoms of all-time. The gig inspired Berry to pursue a career in television. By 1982, he had moved up the ranks, earning a more prestigious position on another classic show, the beloved barroom comedy, "Cheers." Berry served as a producer for the last four years (1989 to 1993) of the show's lengthy run. In '98, he re-teamed with series star, Ted Danson, for "Becker," serving as producer on over 100 episodes. The CBS sitcom, which ran until 2004, featured Danson as a cranky, opinionated Bronx doctor. Berry also produced a handful of lesser-known sitcoms such as "Pig Sty," one of UPN's first original shows, and "Union Square," a short-lived component of NBC's famed "Must See TV" comedy line-up. Berry was later involved with yet another Emmy-winning sitcom, serving as a creative consultant for "Will & Grace."
