His mind is full of film knowledge and random trivia, but he is always open to learning more, whether it's through box office stats, reviewing Blu-rays from The Criterion Collection or simply hearing first hand from filmmakers and others about various productions and behind-the-scenes tidbits.

Mortal Kombat II (2026) 64% EDIT “Now we have Mortal Kombat II, a sequel that follows the traditional pattern of going larger, and in this case, it actually proved better. Shortcoming aside, this bigger, bloodier brawler kontains plenty of fun and killer action.” – We Live Entertainment May 6, 2026 Full Review The Serpent's Skin (2025) 93% 7/10 EDIT “As something bizarre, fun, and different, this is a trippy one to keep an eye out for.” – We Live Entertainment May 1, 2026 Full Review Apex (2026) 67% 7/10 EDIT “It’s the way this film goes from a cat-and-mouse game to one where they need to rely on each other. None of this is super deep, but there’s a large amount of fun to behold in this 90-minute quick hit that was much appreciated.” – We Live Entertainment May 1, 2026 Full Review Deep Water (2026) 73% 5/10 EDIT “A film from the director of Deep Blue Sea and Cliffhanger, feeling like it’s largely on autopilot, didn’t do any favors for my enjoyment. A true shame because the premise is sound.” – We Live Entertainment May 1, 2026 Full Review RZA's One Spoon of Chocolate (2025) 38% 7/10 EDIT “Looking at RZA’s past couple of films, including Cut Throat City, it shows a filmmaker who has been building toward a proper balance of action, thrills, and thematic weight. One Spoon of Chocolate finds the proper outlet for these many ideas.” – We Live Entertainment May 1, 2026 Full Review Hokum (2026) 88% 7/10 EDIT “As is, the movie plays something like a puzzle box combined with the paranoia generally found in folk horror. This all does make for a mostly entertaining movie; I just wish a follow-up to Oddity had a bit more to say or freak me out.” – We Live Entertainment May 1, 2026 Full Review The Devil Wears Prada 2 (2026) 78% EDIT “The Devil Wears Prada 2 may not replicate the same sense of iconography as the first, but it recreates that fun well enough and feels more balanced by consistently wearing its best looks.” – We Live Entertainment Apr 29, 2026 Full Review Balls Up (2026) 23% 3/10 EDIT “And yet, Wahlberg feels that Boogie Nights was the film he needed to apologize to his fellow Catholics for.” – We Live Entertainment Apr 24, 2026 Full Review Special Op: Rent-a-Cop (2026) 2/10 EDIT “This is a dull affair that lacks any real understanding of how to use the talent it has—nothing special about this one.” – We Live Entertainment Apr 24, 2026 Full Review The Addiction of Hope (2025) 7/10 EDIT “The Addiction of Hope clearly comes from a place of familiarity. Director Martin Grey captures it well and balances it with a solid story about the importance of family.” – We Live Entertainment Apr 24, 2026 Full Review Beast (2026) 86% 7/10 EDIT “With enough to offer for any viewer that enjoys these types of stories, Beast is a beast of a film that knows how to walk the familiar lines and deliver to its advantage.” – We Live Entertainment Apr 24, 2026 Full Review Roommates (2026) 65% 5/10 EDIT “It’s just a shame the movie doesn’t remotely stick the landing.” – We Live Entertainment Apr 24, 2026 Full Review I Swear (2025) 97% 8/10 EDIT “It takes a lot to keep this from feeling like a wildly overblown performance. But yes, Aramayo earns the praise he has received.” – We Live Entertainment Apr 24, 2026 Full Review Michael (2026) 39% EDIT “It treats Michael with a high level of respect to a fault, barely skimming the surface of many of its more interesting ideas, and ultimately serves as half a movie. ” – We Live Entertainment Apr 21, 2026 Full Review Thrash (2026) 43% 6/10 EDIT “This movie shouldn’t really work, and in a lot of ways, it doesn’t. However, I had a decent amount of fun watching what doubles as a disaster movie and a shark-attack flick.” – We Live Entertainment Apr 18, 2026 Full Review The Napa Boys (2025) 50% 5/10 EDIT “o its credit, The Napa Boys’ first half, in particular, is its strongest. The weirdness of what’s going on is well balanced by the realizations about what the film is doing. ” – We Live Entertainment Apr 18, 2026 Full Review The Mountain (2024) 91% 7/10 EDIT “House also clearly wants to tell a story that celebrates New Zealand’s diversity, from the manner of speech to the characters’ choices.” – We Live Entertainment Apr 18, 2026 Full Review Mile End Kicks (2025) 88% 7/10 EDIT “This is a fun film to consider, as it revolves around a lead character who makes some pretty terrible choices, and yet you continually root for her to either change things around or make them right.” – We Live Entertainment Apr 18, 2026 Full Review Normal (2025) 76% 7/10 EDIT “A battle royale towards the end of the film, in particular, is a real fun standout. At 90 minutes, this movie is exactly as long as it needs to be and remains quite fun, even after it stops pretending to be normal.” – We Live Entertainment Apr 18, 2026 Full Review Over Your Dead Body (2026) 68% 6/10 EDIT “There is enough to laugh along with, let alone root for and consider, as we see tables being turned in different manners throughout the feature.” – We Live Entertainment Apr 18, 2026 Full Review Lee Cronin's The Mummy (2026) 47% EDIT “Making up for some narratively lacking areas is a game cast happy to play along with Cronin’s ideas for a fun, horror-filled time. In particularly, the children are utilized quite well.” – We Live Entertainment Apr 16, 2026 Full Review Mother Mary (2026) 72% EDIT “It feels like we learn about a whole lifetime and everything that’s transpired within it, and yet the grandest element may be a metaphorical spirit trapped inside a floating piece of fabric.” – We Live Entertainment Apr 14, 2026 Full Review Pizza Movie (2026) 79% 7/10 EDIT “I laughed a lot throughout this film because of the sensibilities of all involved. Removing an inner logic shared by every scene in the film gives you a range of comedic material to work with, and it’s all grounded in what the leads are giving.” – We Live Entertainment Apr 9, 2026 Full Review Outcome (2026) 28% 4/10 EDIT “Reeves is clearly game to lean into what the story is calling for, but it was simply hard to actually believe in him suddenly becoming a manic mad man trying to retain his reputation.” – We Live Entertainment Apr 9, 2026 Full Review Exit 8 (2025) 93% 7/10 EDIT “As it stands, there’s a lot here that aligns with what I want in original features, especially those from a smaller system rather than a mainstream IP. ” – We Live Entertainment Apr 9, 2026 Full Review
