Part of the problem is that, for sheer dramatic conflict, the story of David is nowhere near as interesting as the life and death of his predecessor, King Saul.

Audience Reviews for David

I didn't think this film was as good as some of the other movies in The Bible Collection, made for TV, I was surprised at some of the stuff that was put in this film. Some things that were highlighted I question and some things that were passed over very fast. also makes me wonder as to the true purpose of this movie, as to weather the director was trying to tell the viewers his own translation of the biblical story. Surprised to see Leonard Nimoy in this movie and I did enjoy the role he played. Still I give it 3 stars.

(1997 Diretor: Robert Markowitz) Excellent biblically accurate story of famous King David (Nathaniel Parker) gaining Kingdom from King Saul. Co-stars Leonard Nimoy.

This was a little disappointing for me. IK mean, I really enjoyed the battle sequences and the stories that were told. I guess the tone was set when the battle between David and Goliath really was not that interesting and it didn't feel right. Even though this was a decent movie, it really had a tendency to drag. Still the operformances were pretty good and wasn't it cool to see Leonard Nimoy do something different?
