Ugh. I can't stand to even think about this film. It's weird, cold, in more ways than one, and unimaginably horrible in one crucial place. Sean Bean knocks it out the park as usual though.

Based on the book 'True North', this eerie movie revolves around three characters. Disturbing in parts, it tries to be an effective psychological thriller, but it failed at every level as far as I'm concerned. Except for the beautiful scenery. Yet, give it a go; it might be your cup of tea (my taste is not quite usual). I guess that those who are gifted to appreciate certain type of creative/artistic/substantial films are more bound to like this movie. Well, to each, their own.

2 women surviving the harsh wilderness, when they come upon a manfighting for survival, they take him in, a lookat what happens when,a man can choose between 2 women, ashedecides, one oviously feels left out, as we watch them living through cold climate and how each woman feels, good acting all round, and scenery beautyful, a short film at hour 20, and althougha sudden conclusion, worth the viewing

Now theres a thing. A character study of two women surviving in the harsh icy north somewhere with reindeers and igloos and the like. Very atmostpheric, kind of an arctic Cold Mountain (ish), then Sean Bean turns up, characters develop and it all turns gothic in the last fifteen minutes.
