Kenneth D @RT78572736 Jul 12 As I watched Audie Murphy in some of the combat, I wondered how similar it was to some of his WWII experience, in which he once single handedly killed 50 Germans with a machine gun and was credited with 241 kills altogether, the most decorated enlisted soldier in US history. He single handedly did a lot in this movie, but his actual wartime experience was apparently no less amazing. See more 01/03/2015 Routine though competently made cavalry vs. indians western. Real life WWII hero Audie Murphy is a cavalry captain trying to get a shipment of gun though to Apache land to fight an indian uprising. Besides perspective on who are the real villains are in these types of westerns, this is an entertaining and picturesque western, despite it's many faults (the terrible narration being the worst) if you're a fan of the genre.
