I get it. This is not a movie about alien monsters, it's about a family trying to survive in silence. But here's the thing - if you "like" this movie you are either virtue signalling the humanist fairytale, or you have no common sense. This film is so full of technical inconsistencies and its internal narrative hand-waved to the point of absurdity, it isn't asking you to suspend your disbelief - it asks you to hang it from a gibbet. If you are a film enjoyer of any scientific or logical sophistication whatsoever, stay far, far away.

An emotionally wrecking experience. True to its own concept, once the silence breaks, you are basically a part of the family, leading up to ongoing tension and getting scared easily. It is only missing out on some more background information (probably to be found in the sequel)
