Took too long to get to the point. I even I tried to watch it again at home thinking I could give it another try..... never finished it. Someone wasted alot of money to make this movie. Awful. I can feel while watching this movie hits different. I did not even know who directed this film in the beginning. At the end only I saw the director name Matt Reeves. Then I was like what the fuck. This film was made by him only. I was completely stunned. What a kinda fantastic director you are Matt Reeves. The quality and the concept and everything is just an amazing film. A frantic, shaky disaster that tries too hard to feel like a movie and ends up feeling like emptiness and a shaky mess. The found-footage style turns a giant monster rampage through New York into a blurry, nauseating blur of screams and darkness. Characters are thin not to say poor and annoying, and the creature stays frustratingly hidden for most of the film. Even if you're not prone to motion sickness, the constant camera jitter makes it absolutely exhausting rather than exciting. It's a loud, pointless gimmick that mistakes disorientation for horror.
