Audience Reviews for A Wednesday!
Jul 17, 2011Indian thriller with a difference as the Mumbai police try to stop an anonymous bomber from blowing things up unless they hand over a bunch of terrorists. Stylish, uncheesy acting and refreshingly not a dance number in sight. <img src="http://punekar.in/site/wp-content/uploads/2008/11/wednesday1.jpg">Lesley N Super Reviewer

It is then that events take a wild turn. Prakash Rathod and his team are confronted with an unimaginable and impossible situation. Holy-smoke! Movies like "A Wednesday" gives a beautiful shock. Yes, this is the finest movie of the year (without a doubt) & a masterpiece of Bollywood. Not only there are some incredibly talented actors, but also the direction of the movie is fabulous. "Black Friday", "Aamir" & "Mumbai Meri Jaan", these were the movie which actually were listed among the most finest community based movies, now there would be the name of another flick, "A Wednesday". Neeraj Pandey makes his debut with such a powerful movie & screenplay, & he proves he is one of the best film-maker in the nation. The direction is amazing & flawless. The performances, all the performances are extremely good. Naseer, with a character of a mysterious man, gives one of his superior performance. He proves in the climax sequence, that he is one of the finest actors in Bollywood. Anupam Kher, another brilliant actor, proves to be the best yet again, superb. Jimmy Shergill is a pure surprise, we know he can act very well, he proved it in "Haasil", & yet again he proves it by playing a hardcore-cop & yes, we also get to see one of the most hardcore cop character on-screen in Indian Cinema, power-packed performance. Same goes with Aamir Bashir, another fine actor, who gave an absolute solid performance in the movie. The chemistry between Shergill & Bashir is great (watch the second half of the movie). Deepal Shaw was fine, not bad at all, definitely improved since her last movie. The background score is absolutely fine & it creates the ignition for the excitement. "A Wednesday" deals with a very sensitive matter, & it is not just a movie based on Indian terrorism, but it is also one of the best thriller ever made in the history of Bollywood. An absolutely fantastic movie, with rock solid performances. Do not miss this great movie.
