All I'm gonna say about A Beautiful Life, is if you like the yearning nonsense that passes for "a ballad" on the trailer, then this film is exactly what you deserve.

A Beautiful Life is a small cut above many of the romances Netflix has churned out in recent years. Its dramatic points are a little edgier and a little less predictable, and the romance is more mature.

I gave this 4.5 stars simply because of how it made me feel by the end. I love music and absolutely enjoy me some karaoke so I suppose the fact that I feel a certain way about music in general makes me super biased towards it but thats what I'm here to convey. I agree with a lot of the critics comments about story line being predictable (to a degree) and lack of character depth, etc but idk... it worked for me. I suppose if I'm being honest, it wasnt until the very end that I decided I loved the movie. And if when I really think about it, it wasn't until I realized "Christopher", wrote and sang all those songs himself which is always impressive to me. But to learn that this movie and soundtrack blowing up the way it did, turned his real life upside down like in the movie A Beautiful Life and then learned about it all in the documentary A Beautiful Real Life. Oh and you gotta be able to get past the dubbing over in english since its a Danish film. I usually cant stand but got over it =)

Ich finde der Film erzählt eine schöne Geschichte! Er nutzt dabei zwar die bereits oft erzählte Cinderella Version, doch die familiären Konflikte und tiefen Schmerzen in den einzelnen Charakteren, lassen einen mitfühlen und erneut durchleben. Der Sänger Christopher ist echt gut und schauspielerisch ist da sicher noch potenzial, doch der Cast harmoniert gut. Ich hatte schöne, unterhaltsame und auch nachdenkliche 96 Minuten. Gern mehr davon. Lebt lang und in Frieden ✌️
