Movie Info

An escaped convict finds his troubles compounded when a simple game of hide the dead body snowballs into an elaborate kidnapping scheme that threatens to send him and an abused housewife to prison for the rest of their lives. Will (Josh Cooke) was fleeing the police when he ducked into a barn owned by April (Jaime King) and her husband Martin. When a shouting match in the house ends with the sound a gunshot, April drags her husband's body outside and encounters Will, who agrees to help her dispose of Martin in exchange for assistance getting past the police roadblocks and into Mexico. Trouble is, Martin is still very much alive, and should he manage to get free, Will and April will both be in a world of hurt.

I rather enjoyed this. It was funny, clever, and just the right amount of fun.

This movie feels like one of those Canadian movies I see on TV a lot, but it originates in the States. The story is certainly unique - I have not seen this storyline before. Of course, we are expected to believe that the escaped convict is innocent, and it all ends well, but it still feels like a B movie.
