Movie Info

Mae (Anna Thomson), the mother of 10-year-old Angela (Miranda Stuart Rhyne) and 6-year-old Ellie (Charlotte Blythe), is gradually losing her grip on reality. Her caring husband, Andrew (John Ventimiglia), wants his children to have a stable home life, but he has to spend most of his time working to support the family. When Mae is institutionalized, the young girls are left to their own devices, and Angela begins to live in a dark fantasy world where she combats Satan and speaks with God.

Completely taken by suprise by this (I picked it up for 99p with a cover plugging Vincent Gallo, who's in it for about 2 minutes). Miranda Stuart Rhyne is quite brilliant as Angela and looking on IMDB, I can only hope she returns to the craft. Miller also deserves special credit for her deft yet delicate storytelling.
