I knew it wasn't a happy ending movie - which is why I picked it up - but I didn't expect this amount of sadness omg.. It was amazing. It is tragic that you don't get to go through it more than once. This story was heartbreaking while being funny and realistic and genuine all at once. One cannot help but reflect back on your own teen years as you watch (if you're past your teens when you watch it). I honestly felt each character. Even the Dad. Cinematography, pacing, editing, ....
