It’s terrifying -- perhaps more terrifying in how it compels the viewer to imagine being in the same situation than in how the subsequent shark attacks are actually staged; some viewers will likely be as disturbed by the claustrophobia as by the teeth.

Some are easily pleased but I like some kind of realism and the grenade blast in the water would have either killed it or stunned it so it would have then drowned because sharks need to keep moving to survive. It turned out the shark was not only bullet proof but bomb proof as well. Basically it's shark's crap.

For a movie to be set during world war 2 is a great idea by itself. Now you throw in a shark and you have one of the craziest horror movies ever. I absolutely loved this movie. The characters not liking one another just adds to this very stressful and most dangerous mission yet.. Survival. Tim Treakle

I went in this movie blind didn't watch any trailers saw the poster and thought AI low budget slopped, omg how wrong was I this movie was a top notch movie with a combination of war and shark film. We rarely get any good shark movies definitely worth a re watch

An interessting take on a shark movie with influences from the real-life Indianapolis disaster with very good performances and practical (human) effects. What brings the rating down however is the bad shark animatronic, which isn't convincing at all.

It’s been a while since a shark movie rattled me like Jaws. Beast of War relies on the power of suggestion to amplify fear, letting the audience conjure up the psychological tension. The performances carried the movie, adding depth and grounding the survival horror premise. It’s an enjoyable film that’s better than the average shark movie.
