San Francisco was the epicenter of the American rave scene and witnessed some legendary events that began in the early '90s. These all-night electronic-music dance parties attracted a diverse cross-section of people. Juliet C 11/05/2024 This documentary is very well done, with the music and memories coming directly from those involved in making the early underground rave scene in San Francisco the magical place and time it was. It was a thoughtful look back, not sugar coating or softening any of darker side effects that emerged as the rave culture started to become more publicized and heading toward the mainstream. If you were there, or wish you had been, definitely check out this movie! The 90's San Francisco / Bay Area rave scene was positive, inclusive, and free from the influence of mainstream negative culture. It was amazing to see interviews and perspectives from the top DJs, record store owners and event organizers of the time.
