Bitten is an interesting dark comedy about vampires. The story follows a paramedic who rescues a beaten woman who's covered in blood and left for dead, but after nursing her back to health he discovers that she's a vampire. The cast includes Jason Mewes, Erica Cox, and Richard Fitzpatrick, who all deliver fair performances. The story is kind of clever and has some interesting satire about relationships. However, the directing is subpar and the plot's a bit ineffective. Though it's a troubled film, Bitten has some smart commentary and some good laughs.

This whole film is just a complete joke, however, it did deliver a few laughs instead of thrills.

Fun and suprisingly decent vampire movie. Jason Mewes works through the night as a paramedic, has just split with his girlfriend and has problems with his landlady. It seems life isn't going to get any better either when one night he stumbles across a girl covered in blood near his flat(the lovely Monica Cox). After taking her in and cleaning her up he realises that she is one of the sexiest women ever and quickly falls for her. Things go shit very quickly though when she tries to bite him and we realise that shes a vampire. Not wanting to get rid of her, they both try and sort out living together while getting her the blood she needs. With his only advice coming from his ass obsessed workmate, our hero's life isn't getting any easier. I like the way they havent made the vamp totally evil and she regrets what shes become. Until she gets a thirst that is. This is budget but they've done well in not making it overly gory and exploitative. Even the threesome sex scene is well shot, quite arty some might say(some pervs might not like that though!). I'd say Bitten, although not some kind of masterpiece, is a fun, well made for what it is, horror film and well worth a look.

Could've been much worse, believe me. The ending really sucked though, and that's what ruined it for me. Overall, it still ended up being okay I guess, but they could've taken it in a better direction. What bothers me most is the main character...he's so damn annoying with his bad Clint Eastwood-esque growling and random outbursts of violence...what a tool.
