Begin Again is the best sort of summer movie, with great performances and a solid core. It's clearly a work that comes from love shared by people who enjoyed making it, and that makes it fun for us to watch out in the audience, too.

The film explores how other options could've come into play, but you still have to deal with it and you don't have to stay stuck in the heartache. The exploration of that theme is fascinating and handled really well here.

If you're not smiling while watching this movie...then you're probably dead. Jokes apart, this is an amazing feel-good movie with great actors and fantastic music. It's a love letter to music, love, commitment and...New York City. Keira Knightley and Mark Ruffalo have amazing chemistry and the supporting cast is a blast too, especially James Corden and Hailee Steinfeld. The musical work is incredible, like one catchy tune after another (I'm still listening to "Tell Me If You Wanna Go Home", while writing this review) and the overall atmosphere is 100% upbeat but never cheesy. Some might think that the end of the film is a bit half-baked but I like to disagree...in my opinion more movies should end like this, leaving the final conclusion of the story to the audience instead of explaining everything. Oh, and don't stop the movie once the end credits begin to roll.

I enjoyed this movie about a Brit who comes to New York City because her boyfriend is getting a record deal. She's a very talented songwriter and he's a budding rock/pop star. Her entry to stardom takes a different path that includes a washed up music producer, a big-time rap artist, and some friends. It's good stuff.

I’ve watched this movie 100 times over the years and I appreciate it a little more each time. What an absolute gem. The music is so good and is what makes this movie even better, and the actors were phenomenal. If you haven’t seen it, watch it, you won’t be sorry!

Shred emotions, emerge feel-good? Hell yes. Music fuelled rebirth? Take me in flat!!! Every tune had soul. Every instrument spoke. Violet's 'Tell me if you wanna go' final guitar bit? Oh my gosh took my heart straight away. Too good!
