Particularly enjoyable are the special effects, whether Chucky is played by a costumed actor or animated by impressive animatronics. The original in the famed killer doll series is still the best. Brad Dourif brings life to the character and becomes Chucky from the get go. This was the good old days when the character was supposed to be dark and scary instead of being half comedy, and when the good guys were pure and prevailed over the evil villain in the end. Anos 80 tinha mesmo aquela inocencia infantil, onde filmes assim de terror traumatizavam por semanas. Hoje considero o charme do filme, tem um roteiro simples, atuações medianas, o menino é bem fraquinho na atuação. O detetive tem o mesmo estilo do personagem que fez como vampiro, então dificil não recordar. De toda a série, acho que este e o segundo sejam os filmes mais assustadores. A engenharia robotica é um primor digno de oscar. See more Clayton S @RT11108687 Jun 15 Child’s play is a horror classic. Every Halloween I see at least 5 people dressed as the good guy doll Chucky. Great way to start off a franchise. It has it’s flaws but very few. The humor is also a good thing about this movie, some jokes had me dying. The acting is alright. Andy was amazing. An actor that good at the age he was is insane. The emotion in his character was phenomenal. Overall, this movie is a must watch, no matter what. Wether it’s on Halloween, or any other time, WATCH IT. See more Read all reviews
