There's a rather creepy rob-the-cradle romance between the mature gumshoe and the local beauty, and an even creepier crush her younger sister has on the hunk. I'd say there are just a few too many convenient coincidences and implausible contrivacies and innocent suspects acting a bit too suspiciously. it's set at Christmas time so TCM throws it into rotation every December.
