Critters Attack! works on the most basic of expectations, to see critters bound around like kickballs and at times feast on the limbs of unlucky adults. Go to Full Review

So while it's impossible to recommend Critters Attack! as required viewing, it does provide a low budget horror-comedy that's probably fine with you viewing it as nothing more than a disposable but diverting 90 minutes. Go to Full Review

It's not good, because of course it isn't, but worst of all, Critters Attack! is depressingly low on charm. Go to Full Review

Critters 3 took place all in one apartment building, and 4 was in space on a spaceship set that was manageable. Now a straight to video Critters movie holds up with the theatrical Critters films, which admittedly were always low budget. Go to Full Review

It's hard not to see Critters Attacks! as the cut-rate Gremlins it unwittingly becomes, but fans of the franchise will get exactly what they want. Go to Full Review

Quite boring and defeats the whole idea of a sequel by dodging everything that makes these movies so fun. Go to Full Review

r96 s @RT00952237 04/24/2025 'Critters Attack!' isn't one I was expecting much from, based on that naff poster and it being a fourth sequel that was released 27 years after its predecessor. A terrible picture it is not, though if it wasn't for the cool deaths then I'd be rating this a notch lower. The critter usage and how those affected depart is neat, I enjoyed every moment in that regard. However, what surrounds those parts is damaging. For example, the cast are underwhelming, at best, and the main plot device is derivative; they went full 'Gremlins' with this one. Tashiana Washington is the minor standout from those acting here, Dee Wallace (unofficially?) reprises her role from the 1986 original; which is cool, but if I didn't know beforehand then I wouldn't have recognised her or "Aunt Dee", a character that didn't stand out to me in that first flick. Lastly, credit to Jake (Jack Fulton) for kicking the critters when fighting them; I recall questioning to myself whilst watching the other films why no-one was doing so; unless I was forgetting. It is the most obvious and clearly the best way to attack the football-esque movers. Anyway, this 2019 release (presumably) draws this franchise to a close. The last two aren't any good, but those first three made it a worthwhile watchthrough for me. See more J K @RT17631092 10/05/2024 It is literally the worst one, the others had charm even if they were dumb, this somehow went beyond the "so dumb its good" zone. the critters barely move in this one, its literally just critter dolls they shoot from behind and shake a little. Also the female critter being the good one was a dumb plot point, especially since we have seen a female critter before who was just as evil and wasnt sexually dimorphic. See more Robson C @RT82519826 09/14/2024 Em uma pequena cidade, chegam duas naves espaciais. See more Jessica P @RT01298496 08/13/2024 That was a dumb movie! The original 2 had a plot line. A story leading up to the critters main attacks. The only reason why I watched it was Dee Wallace was back. I’m so disappointed with myself for watching it. See more Jasper J @RT79442157 03/17/2024 Critters Attack! is more enjoyable than Critters 4, and is fun and interesting to see the Critters in the 21st century. Not a masterpiece. See more 04/19/2022 To enjoy this movie, you need to come in with low expectations. Really low but if you can, it's not too bad to watch, but if you can't then not so much. Surprisingly I found the Critters: A New Binge to be far more humorous to watch and that had a much lower budget. I would recommend watching that one just for the alien dialog which made me laugh more then the streaming series itself. It is pretty much a short movie broken into 8 parts around 10 minutes each. It's basically a Degrassi Junior High episode with a lot of rolling fur balls that eat everything in their path and have the best dialog in the show. However going back to this movie, it seems to take itself too seriously. It's weird, a white alcoholic cop father of I believe a tween pure Bl*ck* son and a teenage pure East Indian daughter? Yeah sorry I can't tell if she's bl*ck or east Indian, she looks to fall in between both races. I suffer from race confusion in this instance. It doesn't really explain in the movie but did he adopt around the world or did none of his genetic make up pass on due to being inferior genes to the other party's dominate genes? Hmm...anyhow. The humor or really lack of successful execution of the movie's humor is cringe worthy. This is what happens when you don't have a budget and spend the littlest amount of money on a script which will be the foundation of your movie later on. I watched this with what little nostalgia good will I have left for this franchise. It was depleted really fast...hope you have more then I did as it ran on empty by the time the movie ended.
