Movie Info

Simple greed puts a teenage couple in grave danger as they're drawn into the greatest evil of the 20th Century in this independent thriller. Jack is a young man living in Portland, Oregon who is given a treasure map by an elderly man who lives in his neighborhood. The old man turns out to be a Nazi war criminal who has been in hiding in the United States, and the map will direct its bearer to several secret locations in Europe, where much of the wealth of the Third Reich had been stashed just before Germany fell to the Allies. Jack and his girlfriend Carrie decide to go to Europe and find out if the map is genuine, but their problems begin when they learn the story is true, as a number of international agents and surviving Nazis are after the young couple, willing to kill for the valuable map. Shot on location in Portland, The Devil's Keep stars Danny Perkin and Gathering Marbet.

It seems clear that writer/ director Don Gronquist is fascinated by the history of the Nazi Party; it's just too bad his enthusiasm for the topic never comes across in his film.
