The Gheorghius, a devout Romanian Norwegian couple, resettle in a village set in a distant fjord where they become close to their neighbors, the Halbergs. Their children bond despite their different education. When adolescent Elia Gheorghiu shows up at school with some bruises on her body, the community asks itself if the traditional education that the Gheorghiu children get from their parents would have anything to do with it.

An expertly crafted moral thriller that’s so complex and layered you could see it ten times and learn new things about yourself every single time. If you see it a second time try to track a character named Cameron that might seem like a throwaway. Also for discussion- Noora’s boating incident.

The moral compass is very much determined by actions here and it’s hard to make a choice between extreme right and progressive wrong. I really liked Fjord- the picture itself is unique and beautiful and the acting is perfect- was great to see Sebastian Stan in such character.

Synopsis
